CBA Mission/Vision:


MISSION:
The College of Business Administration at California State University, Sacramento is the Capital region’s educational institution of diversity that provides a strong foundation in business knowledge, skills, and values through collaboration among faculty, staff, and students in order to enrich their respective communities.

VISION:
To be among the top business schools and destination colleges in the CSU system.

College of Business Administration Shared Values:

The mission and vision are supported by a set of values that are shared by all of the College of Business Administration constituencies. These shared core values acknowledge a commitment to:

  • Regional and community contributions;

The CBA:

  • Graduates students who will
    • have  a strong foundation in business knowledge, skills and values, and
    • enrich their respective communities, including the Capital region..
  • Commits to excellence in teaching and learning in all programs offered by the CBA.
  • Supports diversity in the educational experience.
  • Pursues collaboration among faculty, students, staff, CSUS and community members
  • Recruits, develops,  and supports a faculty that produces  intellectual contributions
  • Focuses on intellectual contributions in the following order:   practice, learning and pedagogical research, and discipline-based learning.

A large portion of the diverse undergraduate student population in the CBA is composed of transfer students from the Capital region. Our graduate students are primarily working professionals with diverse backgrounds from both the private and public sectors.
