Welcome to the Information Service Office

New printing policy - effective Fall 2009 - due to budget cuts, ISO can no longer print syllabi and class materials. We can prepare your syllabi and class materials, but are unable to print those items. We are still printing exams and all the other things we have printed in the past, such as program office handouts and forms. Faculty can post syllabi and class materials online, see below for more.

We provide the following services to the College of Business Administration faculty and staff:

  • Duplicating (all except syllabi & class handouts)
  • Printing from electronic files
  • Finishing (binding, hole-punching, etc.)
  • Typing (exams, class handouts, research papers)
  • Creating exams from test banks
  • SacCT uploads for posting class materials online
  • Website edits
  • Printing mail merge documents
  • Creating Power Point presentations
  • Scanning documents
  • Graphic design (flyers, ads, invitations & more)
  • Photography
  • Custom design/photo projects
Open Hours

Faculty are expected to post syllabi and class materials online using SacCT or a personal website. When you set up a SacCT course (we can show you how), give ISO staff access and let us upload your syllabi and class materials to your SacCT courses. We can store your documents on the server, update them at your request and then upload the revised files to your SacCT courses. See below for information on setting up online "SacCT" courses for your classes.

We can scan your documents into PDF files and email them to you, or upload them to SacCT. We can also scan individual documents or pages, and combine them into one PDF file.

We can scan printed photos or graphics as EPS or TIFF files for your Power Point presentations, as low resolution JPEG files for online posting, or as high resolution files suitable for printing.

Send us your text and images and let us create your Power Point presentations. You can also give us printed materials with the desired text highlighted and we will create your Power Point presentations.

Use color to spiff up your report. Add visual interest to your report (or any other document) with color, and we will print it on our color printer.

Give your report a professional look with plastic or thermal binding. For a nice finishing touch we can design a cover, and protect it with a clear acetate sheet. (Binding is not available for large quantity jobs such as classroom materials.)

Send us your copy and let us design and print your program or area newsletter. If you want to email your newsletter we can design it, convert it to a PDF file and email it to you. You can then email the PDF file to your readers, or put it on your website with a link. If you prefer, we can design your newsletter as HTML pages that you can upload to your website.

Let us assist with your mail merge projects. E-mail your Excel spreadsheet and letter to us, and we will print your mail merge document.

We provide professional graphic design services; we have experience designing flyers, large posters, brochures, newspaper and magazine ads, online ads, event invitations and programs, and magazine style publications.

Photography services are available as well; we can take photos for SacCT roster pages, websites, and Power Point slides. We are also available to photograph events and do photo editing. We can prepare photos for black and white or color printing, and for online posting.

For reprographics services beyond the scope of ISO, contact the campus Reprographics Services office at 278-6198 or visit their website at http://www.csus.edu/repro.

New Printing Policy, Effective Fall 2009

As mentioned above, due to budget cuts, effective Fall 2009 ISO can no longer print syllabi and class handouts.

We are still printing exams, program office materials and forms, and all the other items we have printed in the past; just no syllabi or class materials.

Posting Syllabi and Class Materials Online

Faculty are expected to post syllabi and course materials online; they can be posted to SacCT or a website. ISO staff can do basic website edits, and show you how to set up an online course (SacCT). We can help you manage your online course by storing your documents on the server, updating the documents at your request and uploading them to your SacCT courses or website. To request a new SacCT course go to: http://www.csus.edu/webct/webct_account.stm.

We recommend giving all three ISO staff access to your SacCT courses, so if one of us is out when you need something done with your SacCT course, the other staff can take care of your request. Ensure that all of us will see your request by sending it to the ISO email address: cbaiso@csus.edu.

To give ISO staff access to your SacCT course, when you set up a new course type the following in the "Comments" box at the bottom of the SacCT request form:
"Please give full access to Patti Weisser (weisserp), Gary Krebs (krebsg) and Georgina Hansen-Stevenson (stevensg)."

To give ISO staff access to an existing SacCT course, you will need to fill out an online "Guest Account Request Form"; go to: www.csus.edu/webct/guest_form.stm. You will need to input our names and SacLink IDs (same as above), plus our email addresses: Patti is weisserp@saclink.csus.edu, Gary is krebsg@saclink.csus.edu, and Georgina is stevensg@saclink.csus.edu.

For more information about SacCT, go to: https://online.csus.edu/webct/entryPageIns.dowebct.
